1. I have been involved with RFTS (STARS) for the past 11 years of my life, as a student, friend and now teacher. Every moment I have spent with the school, I have enjoyed.

I remember the first time I saw the ‘Super Show Group’ performing at the local shopping centre, and thinking ‘I can do that!’ My Mum rang Natalie the next day and soon I was enrolled in the group and living my dream.

I remember my first show with the school, how nervous I was and the thrill I got when I stepped onto the stage. From that first nerve-racking show, I blossomed into a truly seasoned performer through all the opportunities that were provided to me each year.

I honestly believe that the mixture of dance, drama and singing provided by RFTS is perfect for any teenager or child, boy or girl, in need of a creative outlet. Shy children are also remarkably benefited by the opportunity to discover their talents and work with peers. I was myself once a shy little girl!

Being a part of the school has provided me with the crucial performance and technical skills needed to be a performer. I have also gained necessary life skills such as discipline and confidence, and the lasting friendships I have made will be treasured forever. I truly believe that joining RFTS is almost like being accepted into a family.

 Thank you,

Lauren Endicott

2. I attended RFTS from 1996-2000 and just wanted to thank you both for all the help, knowledge and experience you provided me in my formative younger years.

Since RFTS, I finished school with a successful mark and received a scholarship to University. In my uni holidays I began work experience in the advertising and production industry and now am working full time for a production company on television commercials, corporate videos and computer animations. I have also been featured in a couple of TVC's. I will also be working on the production of a feature film next year.

I am also still heavily involved in the music scene with my love of music and performance skills honed by RFTS coming in very handy! I am currently writing, playing and recording music.

With all that in mind, I just thought I'd say hi and thanks for all the experience and fun time that RFTS provided me growing up. It gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams and the skills to do so. Those years were some of the best of my life and I still look upon them fondly. Also, having the experience of working with other dance schools or dramatic agencies in my current line of work, I can honestly say that the caliber of students from RFTS can easily rival them all in both professionalism and talent.

Kind Regards,

3. My Name is Natalie Davids and I attended RFTS School of Performing Arts from the time I was 4 to 17. My mum enrolled me because she wanted me to be a Tap Dancer and though I didn’t start out with tap right away, dancing quickly became something I loved, and soon I was doing it all, Musical Comedy, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and then Singing and Drama too. I couldn’t get enough!!! I believe that it was those first Musical Comedy classes as a youngster that really helped me come out of my shell. I started out too shy and afraid to walk onto the stage without one of the older girls holding my hand, to speaking a Solo Monologue at the end of year concert! I made so many friends and have so many fond memories from my days at the studio, but on a serious note I also learnt discipline, something that I think all children and teenagers should learn!

It wasn’t until a little later in life that I realized what great opportunities we had been given at RFTS. You won’t find many Performing Arts Schools that have the equipment and facilities that are on offer at RFTS. To perform with Live Microphones and to sing in a Recording Studio is something that most students only dream about but at RFTS it becomes reality.

Aside from all the fun, the skills I learnt at RFTS have also helped me secure a career as a Professional Dancer. After finishing High School I studied Full Time Performing Arts for a year and for the next 4 & a half years after that I was performing onboard Carnival Cruise Lines. Carnival is the largest Cruise Company in the world and sails out of the United States of America . I have done cruises thru the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexican Riviera. Thanks to my training at RFTS I was fully prepared to work hard and handle everything with a professional manner and received excellent appraisals from every one of my Dance Captains. I was even chosen to be a Lead Dancer for Adage work and also chosen to do a Tap Solo, so my mum got her wish after all!!!

I still attend RFTS now for Singing lessons with Patricia to brush up on my skills and hope that Singing will feature in my career a little further down the track. For the moment though I am off to Taiwan in June to perform at a Theme Park there.

RFTS helped me get where I am today and I am ever grateful.

4. My name is James Musumeci and I attended R.F.T.S. for eleven years. In those eleven years I have found R.F.T.S. to be a very enjoyably experience. Not only did I become confident as a performer, but I also learnt other important things such as dramatic skills, microphone and backstage techniques. I also attended private singing lessons with Little Pattie who gave me professional advice on my vocal skills. She developed me into being the best singer I can be. The principals, Robert and Natalie Belleli, are very experienced and professional teachers. If it weren’t for them I would not be as advanced in my musical ability as I am today.

Nowadays I still am involved within the school. I assist in some of the R.F.T.S. public performances as well as the South-Eastern Musical Society where Natalie is the director. During the 2005 and 2006 musical productions I was the sound engineer and for this year I will actually be involved as one of the actors.

I found R.F.T.S. to be a very professional Performing Arts school and I thoroughly enjoyed/still enjoy my time there.
